Had you practiced yoga before coming to Thavma Bikram Yoga?

Yes

If so, What other Styles of Yoga had you practiced?

I started my yoga practice in November 2017 – I started with hot 60 Minute Bikram Style / Warm Yin / Hot Vinyassa Flow classes before coming to Thavma

What made you decide to do Thavma’s  30 Day Challenge?

I’m always up for a challenge and decided to give my practice a little boost!

What did you want to accomplish from your 30 Day Challenge?

I was hoping to become more flexible and stronger in my poses during my challenge!

Did you achieve your goal?

I did achieve my goal – I felt great after 30 consecutive days of yoga – for sure more flexible & stronger – the best part about Thavma is the different classes – they each provide a little something different so it never gets boring!

What changes did you see during and after your 30 days of Thavma yoga?

The changes I saw during my challenge were physical and mental – I felt more aware of everything I was doing each day – from what I was eating to making sure I was mentally prepared for class and not letting myself feel overwhelmed by the commitment I had made – I was able to go into each class with a positive attitude and really soak in the experience!  I saw my body becoming stronger each day and was able to go deeper into my poses as each day passed!

What did you learn/gain from doing Thavma yoga regularly?

I learned thru my challenge and thru my regular practice that I am capable of so many things – physically pushing myself and exercising patience during challenging situations!

What did you love most from doing the Challenge?

The best part of the challenge was the motivation from the Thavma team – all of the instructors are wonderful and so encouraging – I feel like they really care about me and my practice and they work hard to teach good technique – they are always helping me move into poses correctly so my foundation is strong and my form is correct!

What’s your favorite posture?

My favorite posture is Triangle – well that’s what I call it anyway – it is said to be the Master pose of the series and I feel like it is a complete body stretch and uses all of my strength from head to toe when I am doing it right!!

Tell us what you think and love most about Thavma Premium Hot yoga as a Studio?

OMG – where to begin – I fell in love with the studio at my very first class – Kate taught a 60 minute Bikram style beats class to some incredible music – from then on it was a no-brainer for me – I knew I would become a member of the studio – it is very close to my house and super clean – they use a special heating / dehumidifying system so the room stays hot but not steamy!  All of the instructors are awesome and bring their own personal touch to the classes!  Owners Marina & Thano are kind and welcoming and run a great business!  I love the variety of classes – the Thavma classes are yoga combined with strength exercises – these are my favorite!  And let’s not forget the SWEAT – it is cleansing in so many ways – I LOVE THAVMA!!!
